Introduction

The Digital Services Awards (DSA) celebrates excellence in delivering digital services to the public. Since its launch in 2021, DSA has been an annual event honouring outstanding achievements. Participants benefit from rigorous assessment processes, including technical scoring using widely recognised evaluation criteria powered by the Whole-of-Government Application Analytics (WOGAA) tool, expert judging panels, and qualitative feedback from citizens and users with diverse abilities.

Digital Services Awards ushers in a new theme: Engage, Empower, and Evolve in 2026.

  • Engage: Design services that foster meaningful, two-way connections with users through intuitive and accessible experiences.

  • Empower: Enable users to take action with confidence through clear, inclusive, and user-first experiences.

  • Evolve: Continuously improve and innovate, using data, feedback, and emerging technologies to better serve citizens.

As digital services become an integral part of everyday life, it is no longer enough for them to simply function. They must connect with users, support diverse needs, and be able to adapt over time.

The 2026 theme reflects this shift - encouraging agencies to go beyond usability and towards delivering digital services with meaningful impact.
