Frequently Asked Questions about the Digital Services Awards

1. What is the Digital Services Awards?
The Digital Services Awards is an annual event that recognises government agencies and private sector websites that have delivered excellent digital services through websites for the public, including individuals who have actively contributed to enhancing these services.
Currently, awards are presented in 3 categories: Industry Awards, Government Awards and Citizen Awards.
Event
1. When and where will the event be held?
The awards ceremony will be held on 20 November 2026. Stay tuned for more details!
Nominations
1. How do we nominate our websites for the awards?
Nominations will open on 4 June 2026. Stay tuned for more information!
Eligibility
1. Why does a website have to be in English or have an English language option to be eligible?
The website should be in English or have an English language option to ensure alignment with the predominant language for business in Singapore, and facilitate effective communication with our diverse assessors.
Evaluations
1. How are digital services evaluated for the awards?
Depending on the award category, winners are selected based on technical scores or evaluations by judging panels comprising private and public sector tech experts, and citizen evaluators. For example, shortlisted entries for “Best Usability” will be further assessed by a minimum of 100 citizen evaluators, while the “Most Popular Informational Website” will be awarded based on live attendee votes during the award ceremony.

2. What is WOGAA?
WOGAA stands for Whole-of-Government Application Analytics. This platform was developed by the Government Technology Agency of Singapore (GovTech).
WOGAA monitors near real-time performance of government websites and digital services. It presents key information such as website traffic, user feedback, recommendations to improve site performance, as well as benchmarks against Whole-of-Government (WOG) averages in a single dashboard.
3. Who are the judges for the awards?

4. How are the winners selected?
Depending on the award category, winners are selected based on technical scores or evaluations by the judging panels and citizen evaluators.

5. What if there is a tie?
In the event of a tie, all agencies that received the top scores or evaluations will receive the award.
