Frances Yong

Frances Yong is the founder of White Byte, an award-winning company focussing on cyber safety and digital literacy. White Byte pays special attention to empowering marginalised communities to be digital citizens in the evolving tech-driven ecosystem, and helping them understand the mechanics of online scams. Prior to founding White Byte, Frances was a member of the global leadership teams for fraud risk and cybercrime risk management in a Fortune 500 financial institution.

Through her combined corporate experience and grassroot outreach, Frances provides rich and relevant insights to cybercrime prevention. Frances is a respected cyber safety evangelist. Her versatility and breadth of knowledge place her as a regular speaker at tech and cyber security events locally and abroad. In 2025, Frances was honoured as Singapore’s Top 100 Women in Tech, and named one of 50 Global Changemakers in Financial Literacy and Safety by the Money Awareness & Inclusion Alliance (MAIA), a UK-based entity.
