Oh Boon Keng

Boon Keng is an advocate for accessibility and disability inclusion. He is the author of the book "Can I Love?" in which he shares his journey of finding love as an individual with muscular dystrophy. He serves as the Honorary Secretary on the management committee of the Muscular Dystrophy Association (Singapore) and is also an ambassador for the organisation to raise awareness about muscular dystrophy. He believes in paying forward the support he has gotten from the community that brought him to where he is today.

Boon Keng recognises that the internet has enabled him to stay connected to the world and regain a sense of independence, despite the significant physical limitations posed by his disability. His declining condition has greatly limited his arm mobility and hindered his ability to use the computer — he now relies solely on the mouse for navigation. As such, he greatly appreciates digital platforms and services designed with accessibility in mind.
