Shalom Lim

Shalom is a physically disabled artist, advocate, and storyteller living with muscular dystrophy. He is the co-founder of Rebirth Ensemble and strives to make fine art accessible for Singaporeans of all abilities. Shalom also serves on the board of the Disabled People’s Association and K9Assistance and is a patient columnist with Muscular Dystrophy News Today. His journey spans visual art, performing arts, and policy advocacy, driven by lived experience and a commitment to accessible, inclusive design. He believes that disability is not a flaw to be fixed, but a perspective that can reimagine how we build relationships and connect with others.
