Tan Bing Wen

Mr. Tan Bing Wen, founder of CheckMate, and his team are nominated for the Outstanding Citizen Contributor Award for their impactful efforts in combating misinformation and scams through their platform, CheckMate. Since its launch in March 2023, CheckMate has empowered over 1,600 users to actively verify and categorize suspicious messages, significantly enhancing government trust and safety initiatives. With a network of over 30 volunteers, CheckMate reviews and verifies more than 50 messages weekly, playing a crucial role in protecting citizens from digital threats.
